Wrong Time, Right Place?

As humanity is on the decline in many ways, are there certain advantages of the times that are hindering rather than helping my capacities?

In the back room of my house on a beautiful sunny summer day, sitting in the dark on my 5th YouTube videos of the night I suddenly took a moment to reflect that since middle school, I have had access to YouTube which since that day has comprised of an average of 4 hours of my day, everyday.

Anytime I’m bored, or want to check in on my favorite YouTuber, or am watching a music video, there is always something I can click on. And I think about all that time as not only total hours but percentage of my life and think had I been born just a few years earlier, what would have taken up that time instead? Would I be doing more of my other hobbies like drawing/painting and reading or would I found and entirely different hobby I would have never discovered now?

Should I feel grateful or regretful?
